Commencing its operations in 1969 with 0.3 mhl brewing capacity in a total of two breweries through the launch of its flagship brand "Efes Pilsen", which is now being enjoyed in over 50 countries worldwide, Efes Beer Group currently is the 6th largest Europe based brewer with 15 breweries, 5 malteries and 1 hops processing facility in 5 countries. As of first half 2007, Efes Beer Group has close to 34 million hectoliters of total annual brewing capacity, 236.500 tonnes of malt production capacity and a brand portfolio consisting of 40 brands.

Our Group seized the opportunity to apply the experience and know-how it gained in the Turkish beer market to other emerging markets, expanding its operations to a wide territory that comprises Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Serbia. Our operating countries are acknowledged as having a high potential for growth, suggested by their below average per capita consumption levels and positive macroeconomic developments. Accordingly, over the past 10 years period ended in 2006, our operating countries have realized 12% CAGR growth, compared to 3% and 2% CAGR growth in the World and Europe, respectively.

In line with our policy to create a brand portfolio in all our operating markets that consist of good quality brands with strong positions in their respective segments, Efes Beer Group's beer portfolio as of end of 2006 consists of over 170 SKUs, positioned to cover the fastest growing, most profitable and/or largest segments in each of our operating markets.

Continuing its fast and profitable growth, our Company increased its total sales volume by 17% in 2006 compared to previous year by reaching 18.8 million hectoliters.
