Our international operations are conducted by Efes
Breweries International N. V. (EBI), a 70.2% subsidiary
of Anadolu Efes established in the Netherlands. EBI,
listed in the London Stock Exchange, is among the largest
brewers in the countries in which it operates. EBI's
current operating geography spans from Eastern Europe,
to the Balkans, Russia and Central Asia. Since the start
of its operations in 1998, EBI has achieved a CAGR volume
growth of 62%.
As of end of 2006, EBI operates in Russia, Kazakhstan,
Moldova and Serbia with 10 breweries having a total
annual production capacity of 23.8 million hectoliters
and 4 malteries with a total production capacity of
139,000 tonnes. The acquisition of the Krasny Vostok
Brewing Group in February 2006 has not only fortified
EBI's position in Russia, which is the 3rd largest beer
market in the world1, but has also proved EBI's commitment
to being a long term player in the rapidly consolidating
Russian beer market. Following the acquisition, EBI
is a strong player in Russia, operating with 5 breweries
and 4 malteries.
