About Anadolu Efes
Anadolu Efes, a subsidiary of Anadolu Group, was founded in 1969 and quickly became Turkiye’s largest beer producer. With its strong vision and efforts to develop beer culture, Anadolu Efes has played a significant role in the industry by pioneering many firsts for consumers.
The company took an important step by expanding abroad in the 1990s. Regarding the international operations, Anadolu Efes took another important step aimed at commercial sustainability in the global market in 2012 and formed a strategic alliance with SABMiller Plc (“SABMiller”). In 2016, following the acquisition of SABMiller by AB InBev, the world’s largest brewer, AB InBev became the holder of a 24% stake in Anadolu Efes.
In addition to its operations in Turkiye, Anadolu Efes runs its beer operations* in Kazakhstan, Moldova, Georgia, and Ukraine. Anadolu Efes runs its international beer operations through Efes Breweries International B.V. (“EBI”), its subsidiary based in the Netherlands.
In addition to its beer production, distribution and sales activities, Anadolu Efes is also engaged in fruit cultivation activities through its subsidiary Anadolu Etap Penkon Tarım (AEP Anadolu Etap Penkon Gıda ve Tarım Urunleri Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi).
Anadolu Efes also holds a 50.3% stake in Coca-Cola İcecek A.Ş. (“CCI”), which runs Coca-Cola operations in Turkiye and abroad.
Anadolu Efes generates more than half of its sales revenue from international markets and ranks as the 5th largest beer company in Europe and the 10th largest** in the world by production volume. The company reached millions of consumers worldwide with its beer and soft drink brands.
Anadolu Efes’s subsidiary Coca-Cola İcecek (CCI) is a Turkish multinational beverage company, which operates in Turkiye, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Iraq, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Jordan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Syria.
CCI produces, distributes and sells sparkling and still beverages of The Coca-Cola Company and Monster Energy Beverage Corporation along with the production of fruit juice concentrate via its affiliate Anadolu Etap İcecek (Anadolu Etap Penkon Gıda ve İcecek Urunleri Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirket).
CCI employs more than 10,000 people, has a total of 36 bottling plants, and 3 fruit processing plants in 12 countries, offering a wide range of beverages to a population base of 600 million people. In addition to sparkling beverages, the product portfolio includes juices, waters, sports and energy drinks, iced teas and coffee.
*On December 30, 2024, it was announced that, pursuant to a Presidential Decree of the Russian Federation, temporary external
management had been appointed to Anadolu Efes’ beer operations in Russia. Although the Russian operations formally remained
under Anadolu Efes as of January 1, 2025, it was excluded from the scope of consolidation in the financial statements in
accordance with TFRS 10. In the financial statements the beer operations in Russia, which were excluded from consolidation, were
accounted for as “Financial Investment”
